API Security Deposit
API requires payment of a $250 security deposit for each API program in which you participate*. The security deposit is due to API by your final payment due date, which you can find on your billing statements, or on the payments tab of your @api account.
The security deposit is not included in the program cost, so please be sure to remit payment for this amount IN ADDITION TO your final payment amount. It is not necessary, however, to send a separate payment for the security deposit. For accepted methods of payment, please visit the How to Pay API section of our website.
A fee of $75 will be retained from all security deposits to cover standard cleaning fees and general maintenance fees, including minor repairs and standard touch-up painting. The remaining $175 is refundable provided that: 1) no additional fees are assessed on-site for incidentals, damages, or excessive utility usage; and 2) the API program fee has been paid in full.
The due date for the security deposit cannot be deferred, so students who are using financial aid to pay for any portion of their program cost to API cannot use their financial aid funds to pay for their security deposit. Additionally, students who choose to sign up for API’s Alternative Payment Arrangement (APA) in order to defer their final payment due date MUST submit payment for the security deposit by their original final payment due date.
