City Information

Wellington (population 405,000), is located on the southern tip of the North Island and is New Zealand’s capital city.

Well known for a vibrant creative culture fueled by great food, wine, craft beer, coffee, art, events and festivals, Wellington is a cosmopolitan city with a lively personality. A recent survey by Deutsche Bank named Wellington the world’s most liveable city!

Wellington is a leading center for creative industries such as film and computer technologies. Often compared to U.S. cities such as Seattle and Portland due to its climate and culture, Wellington has all of the charms of a smaller European city with the beauty of New Zealand’s flora and fauna. Wellington’s residents take advantage of the close access to the sea – almost all of the city’s population lives within 2 miles of the coastline.

All three campuses are within 10 minutes walking distance from each other and the city center. Come Study Abroad with API in Wellington!
